Quinn began conducting classes as a registered Music Together® teacher in
June of 1999, through the Arts in the Neighborhood program at West Baltimore United
Methodist Church. In August, 2003, she successfully completed Certification Level I at the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton.
Ann's background
is in classical clarinet performance and teaching. She has performed with the
Houston Symphony, Texas Opera Theater, Maryland Symphony, Annapolis Opera, and
various chamber ensembles. She is founder and director of the Howard County Clarinet
Camp, and has taught clarinet for over 25 years. She especially loves teaching
young children and their parents, and enjoys making music together at home with
her two children.
Ann is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute
of Music and holds a M.Mus from SUNY Stony Brook.
Melissa Pound has been teaching very popular Music Together classes since 2005. She also teaches music at Christ Lutheran Pre-School, and has done outreach classes for the Kennedy Krieger program for medically fragile children. Melissa grew up playing piano and singing in choirs, and shares her love of music with her three sons.
